New years resolutions....
Time for retrospection and plan- drawings, time for fresh thoughts and new beginnings...Happy New Year!
2016 was not a very prolific year in terms of doll number, thus it seems... I have the feeling I never stopped working ...How is that?
Well, apart from the fact I am indeed late on my photography schedule and could have shown more, I basically was in research- mode all this year! (My bin is full of trash)
Trying this and that, improving here and there...thus driving my most faithful supporter crazy (my husband)...and one of my dear customer desperate for sure....
But overall, I am satisfied with two or three major progresses I made:
I developed a way to actually be working faster (my research), thus will be able to either have a bit more dolls produced or induce a project or two around it, and that is a great great thing!
I could focus and also have a bit of doll teaching opportunity which I loved doing.
I participated two important exhibits for me, because in my
location, showing my dolls for the first time (can you believe it!) to people who are just near! And the response was great!
Apart from that, I also played with the idea of developing little dolls with their wardrobes for children, more Waldorf or Steiner type ones, but needle felted in the inside, and after 5 or 6 dolls (to my daughter's joy) I think I will make do, sometime.
I even started carving small wood dolls because why not....
I have been really busy as you can see , and I wish all this will be fruitful efforts for the future, and I will put my dolls to sale again.
I want to thank you much for being there for me, always. For exchanging thoughts and encouragements regularly and right when I might have just quitted, being exhausted, and drained and lonely sometimes, as if you knew....
And thank you for being patient and respectful with me, even when a long time passes with no feed from my part.
